While India has a huge market for batteries, there are several players in the market, both in the organized and unorganized segments. Companies require not only a complete product portfolio, but also a competitive strategy for operations and marketing, to gain market share in this hyper-competitive market. This is where, private label route offers its advantages to firms, distributors as well as customers.
OUR PRIVATE LABEL BUSINESS
Our Private Labeling business was flagged off in 2001 with a view to increasing our share of business in the organized battery segment in India. With a superior product range and an alliance with, Johnson Control USA, Amara Raja ventured into private labeling with Bosch silver batteries. We manufacture, brand and sell GM's AC Delco range automotive batteries, Lucas Endura and Pacer Batteries. We also manufacture batteries for Cummins, the largest independent automotive engine manufacturer in India. Our other private labels include Luminous Power Technologies (P) Ltd, which delivers high-quality power products for homes. We are also a proud battery supplier for AREL’s (an Amara Raja Group Company) Home UPS and inverter solutions.
